It is the Little Things in Life, Really
I've survived the brutish portion of the work week - barely. Despite the hours, endless mental frustrations, and physical exhaustion, I am in relatively good spirits. Let me share the reasons.
I read the law of attraction, which I thought evoked optimism because it encourages perpetuating a positive perspective within your relationships whether it is family, friends, or co workers
- The law of attraction says like attracts like, so when you think a thought, you are also attracting like thoughts to you.
- Thoughts are magnetic, and thoughts have a frequency. As you think thoughts, they are sent out into the Universe, and they magnetically attract all like things that are on the same frequency. Everything sent out returns to the source—you.
- You are like a human transmission tower, transmitting a frequency with your thoughts. If you want to change anything in your life, change the frequency by changing your thoughts.
- Your current thoughts are creating your future life. What you think about the most or focus on the most will appear as your life.
- Your thoughts become things.
From the website:
"This chair, by Brazilian artists Fernando and Humberto Campana, is pretty much the opposite of the Outlaw Chair.
It's cute as can be and looks like one of those DIY projects that you
probably wouldn't want to bother making yourself. After all, it has the
potential to get irrevocably dirty (though you could always swap out
bears). It starts to look less cute, however, when you discover that
the Banquete Chair with Pandas costs $75,000. The Campanas are
well-known artists, after all, and this chair does come in very limited
editions. Suddenly, stuffed animal chairs don't look like such a bad
idea, do they? So go get a glue gun and raid the nearest toy store. Or,
you know, get out your checkbook."
And my external drive came back to life! I was so relieved to find a response to my plea for assistance on how to restore life into the drive that worked; a very simple solution actually. I was most concerned about my documents, but also losing 60 GBs of music was harsh too. Granted, I am not a huge music connoisseur; however, I do appreciate my classical music, which serves as an escape and shield from the distractions of my environment while also providing various tempos to complete my tasks. My last obstacle was to remap my itunes player to point to my itunes folder on the external drive and remove the dead links to music. The path I originally pointed to caused the appearance of duplicates - pointers to a path that no longer existed. Luckily I remembered the dates I added the music so i filtered by date, and erased all pointers prior to the new mapping. Oy veh, what a day.
